Thoughts:
“Systems don’t make you lazy – they make you last.”
“Hustle is a ladder. Systems are the elevator.”
“Delegation isn’t weakness. It’s what smart bosses do to win big.”
Someone sent me a stragnge message that gave me a heartbreaking flashbacks…
The message started with…
==
Sir, two weeks ago, I missed a hospital appointment because I was manually confirming delivery addresses. Me. A grown adult. In 2025. Still typing “Hello ma, please confirm your address” at 7am. That was the moment I knew this shit had to stop. How do I delegate simple tasks like this.

Most of us say we’re building a business.
But most of us are just building a glorified to-do list – with ourselves at the center of every damn task.
Ads? You.
Customer service? You.
Delivery tracking? Still you.
Then you break down… and everything breaks with you.
This is not freedom. It’s a soft prison with credit alerts highlights.
If your business cannot run without you, you don’t have a business.
You have a stressful job wearing fake Gucci belts.
I remember my mentor, many years ago tell me this…
If you’re the only one that knows how to do everything, then you’re the only one who can fix everything.
And that means you can never truly rest, grow, or scale. You’re trapped.
You don’t scale by doing more.
You scale by doing less… and making sure the right people and right systems do the rest.
That’s how real CEOs move.
Not “I can do it faster,” but “someone else can do it forever.”
I was once in that prison. I’m free now and many of my clients are also free.
How?
Here’s how I broke free:
1. Document or Die
I used to keep everything in my head.
Big mistake.
I thought I was being smart & “fast.”
But all I was doing was setting myself up to burn out.
If I fell sick or traveled, things paused.
No orders. No updates. Just vibes and chaos.
So I got ruthless.
If I did something more than once – whether it was posting on Instagram, responding to customers, or confirming orders…
Step-by-step.
I recorded voice notes.
I dumped them in a Google Doc.
I turned it into a system.
Not perfect, not fancy, but something my team could run without asking me “what next?” every five minutes.
That’s how we started building a real business, not a glorified job.
2. Hire Before You’re Ready
Let me be honest – In the beginning, I didn’t feel “ready” to hire.
I didn’t think I had the money.
I didn’t think I had the time to train them.
And I didn’t trust anyone to do the work like me.
But guess what? All of that thinking kept me trapped.
My first hire made mistakes. I cringed a few times.
But slowly, they got better.
Because they had clear instructions (SOPs) to follow.
And the more I delegated, the more energy I had to fix the real bottlenecks…
Like scaling our ads, improving our delivery flow, and thinking like a business owner again.
If you keep waiting for the “perfect time” to hire, you’ll keep being everyone’s assistant forever.
3. Stop Being Special
This one cut deep.
I had to admit… I wasn’t that special.
I wasn’t the only one who could write good copy.
Or speak to customers.
I just told myself I was the only one so I could feel useful.
But you know what that thinking did?
It made me the bottleneck. The kingpin. And when I slowed down, everything slowed.
That’s not leadership – that’s ego.
The real job is building a system that runs whether you’re around or not.
Not because you’re not important. But because freedom is important.
Let me be clear.
Systems are not apps. Delegation is not laziness.
It’s the difference between a business that prints cash vs. a hustle that sucks your soul dry.
You don’t have to figure this out alone.
