Most people lose more money on silence than on ads.

1. Multi-channel follow-up is KING.
You can’t afford to depend on only WhatsApp like it’s your village town crier.
People ghost on WhatsApp – not because they hate you – but because life is chaotic.
Some open DMs at night, some only check SMS when they get bank alerts…
And some only open emails because they’re still job hunting.
Phone calls? Some people’s phones are on don’t disturb.
But if you call 2x it might ring, and they’ll pick up.
People are scrolling social media every day, looking for entertainment.
So if you’re shouting in one room and your customer is chilling in another, how will they hear you?
Start using all six:
- WhatsApp for direct talk
- SMS for urgency and reminders
- Email for stories, trust, and teaching (optional)
- Phone for instant sales closing.
- Social Media for passive desire buildup
- Private Community for constant updates
Don’t assume which one works.
Use all.
That’s how serious marketers play this game.
2. Set up follow-up systems, not feelings.
You’re not your memory. You’re not your mood. You’re a business.
You can’t afford to follow up “when you remember” or “when you feel like it.”
That’s how people with good products stay broke.
Set up systems that work even when you’re tired.
Write out your copy & paste follow-up messages.
Create the follow-up sequence before you’ll need it.

It’s the one who whispers consistently in their customer’s ear till they respond.

3. Use what I call “emotional stacking.”
One message is never enough.
Most people don’t buy because they don’t feel enough.
Here’s how I structure my follow-up that works like magic:
First message: Remind them of the product and how it works.
Second message: Remind them of their pain – the thing they told you they’re struggling with.
Third message: Show them what they’ll miss if they don’t take action now (loss aversion is powerful).
Fourth message: Social proof – “others are already getting results; don’t be left out.”
Fifth message: Bonus/urgency – add limited-time bonus or discount to trigger FOMO.
I call this stacking because each layer builds more emotion.
And emotion is what moves people.
And don’t forget…
If they don’t buy yet, FOLLOW UP AGAIN.
One day silence doesn’t mean rejection.
Life is noisy. People see your message, forget, and move on.
Your job is to bring them back.
Even Jumia, a billion-dollar company, sends multiple SMS and emails every day for you to buy.
That’s why they are worth billions… but not profitable YET because of the structure in Africa.
Why won’t you follow up?
You’re selling something that can change someone’s day… maybe even their life.
Don’t whisper and expect to get paid.
You’re not too small. You’re just too quiet.
You’re not being ignored because your product is bad.
You’re being ignored because they forgot you exist.
